Tips to Make Your Dating Profile More Attractive

Friday, September 26, 2008

There is a lot to be said about a person in their profile and not only does a profile act as a first impression it also gives away quite a bit about a person's character and the effort you put in producing a decent dating profile could pay dividends in the long run. Like you would be applying for a job and want to go on your first job interview, likewise a dating profile acts almost in the same way as a resume or CV and firstly your job application with your resume will be approved before your going on your first job interview so making a good job of your profile is paramount to your success.

1. First and foremost decide a time of day you are relaxed and in a happy go lucky mood to write out your profile as this will imbue you to be creative and hopefully bring out the best in which you have to offer your future date. So make sure you have plenty of time to spare as a rush job will not do any one any favors, least of all you. Plan out what you want to write in draft first and then embellish it later on once you want to upload the final draft so that if something comes up during the day that you may want to add, you can do that without a rush. Give yourself at least a day to put in writing what you want about yourself.

2. Be honest about yourself on all accounts and write just enough that will tantalize your prospective Dates. Do not be over bearing in your writing and too heavy either as this can put many people off. Try to add a little humor as this is usually what helps bring interest but without being cynical and shallow. This can also be a turn off for many as not everyone is interested in just a pretty face. Often people are looking to share ideas, ideals and interests as well as build some intimacy and if there isn't much to talk about on the offset then there isn't much chance of any relationship lasting.

3. Try to upload some really good pictures of yourself as the first impressions will count. Many upload old pictures or pictures that don't do justice and so lose many points on these accounts. Try also to pick pictures focusing on different lighting and different times of the day. A picture can often speak a million words just by looking at it and if you have pictures of yourself in different styles of clothing that will really engage the interest of other onlookers browsing through as with profiles people often browse through the pictures first.

4. Make sure you do not tell any porkies as lying is one thing that will bring you to failure sooner or later so always tell the truth but do not include your telephone number or email addresses in the profile as you do not want all and sundry bombarding you and invading your privacy so this is a very important point to take into account and cannot be stressed enough.

These pointers should gear you into the right direction to get your dream date and the rest then can follow from here.
